  • At the Reflet des Iles restaurant, Creole cuisine is a ""fundamental element around which our society will become consolidated"". It offers the opportunity to discover the flavours of Reunionese cuisine, ""the heritage of ancestors who came from a variety of regions: Africa, Europe, Asia, etc."" In a typically Creole and convivial setting, the restaurant offers traditional caris, massalés, stews, and rougails, as well as kebabs, fish, and shellfish. Old-style dishes include: riz chauffé, Creole-style pig's trotter cari (""cari patte cochon""), ""brèdes songe à la morue"" (taro leaves with cod). Specialities: goldfish cari, chicken with heart of palm, prawns with vacoa (pandanus' fruit) heart. Restaurant with terrace and a warm welcome. The restaurant has won a number of awards in its 25-year history: Marmite d’'Or 1995, Médaille de Bronze du Tourisme 2004, Trophée du Tourisme 2005. Pushchair and disabled access. Chèques de table and Luncheon Vouchers accepted. Bilingual menu. Just a few minutes' walk from the pedestrianized street in Saint-Denis and from the coastal path. Open for lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday, from 12:00 midday to 2:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Closed on Sundays.
