Net Managers

Net Managers is the annual global gathering of digital or e-tourism. After Montreal, Helsinki, Miami, Punta Cana, Vietnam, Bangkok, San Francisco, Sri Lanka, and Shanghai last year, Reunion Island will host the tenth edition of this great event dedicated to online tourism. From June 2-6, fifty movers and shakers of the tourism industry and fifteen journalists from the specialized press from France, Switzerland, and Belgium will meet to get insights into the economic, strategic, and technology of tomorrow’s way on how to conduct tourism business in cyberspace.

For the CEO of Eventiz and organizer of Net Managers, Mr. Frédéric Vanhoutte, Reunion Island is the “geekiest destination” of them all. The island owes this special status to all the technological innovations and their strategic deployment in the digital arena, developed by Reunion Island Tourism (IRT) over the past several years now. With three Golden Travel awards under its belt, a new website at the cutting edge of technology, the implementation of several innovative mobile applications, and a strong presence on social networks, it was a logical progression that the island hosts the tenth edition of Net Managers, an event dedicated to French-speaking tourism decision makers who conduct their business both on and offline.

A group of fifty of the top people in the development of digital tourism came to Reunion Island for the week to discuss the economic, strategic, and technological challenges of the coming years, participating in the tenth edition of Net Managers. Among them, a dozen speakers will specifically address the expected and anticipated major changes of how tourism does business in the future, i.e., the Next Big Things

On the side of the specialized press are fifteen journalists covering the event to provide exposure to the destination in its main priority markets: France, Switzerland, and Belgium.

This B2B event is a wonderful means of communication for Destination Reunion that allows it to:
  • highlight the professionalism of local tourism stakeholders with a MICE target;
  • convey the image of a modern and innovative destination; and
  • conduct a meeting to live the experience to all participating Net Managers and stakeholders to create future subscribers.

Beyond the conference sessions and the networking organized during the five days, all participants will also discover the richness of culture and landscapes of Reunion Island. They will all participate in a top-notch program combining original discoveries in the morning and working sessions the rest of the day, every day. No doubt this latest edition of Net Managers on Reunion Island will be for the benefit of the participants as well as that of the destination.
