Jacky fromFar Far Kréol association invites you to discover or rediscover traditional Creole cuisine prepared over a wood fire.Visit a different market every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and sample some of the fresh local produce, before taking part in an open fire cookery workshop in Sainte Suzanne. An exciting day of gourmet delights in prospect!
1st part: Market
From 8am, wander round the market with Jacky, unearthing the region\'s best vegetables, spices, meats and fish. You’ll get a chance to chat with the market stall owners.
2nd part: Creole cookery workshop.
Everyone returns to their car and heads to Sainte Suzanne (20 min drive) in the Bagatelle district. Once there, everyone helps to prepare lunch, from folding samosas to making a gateau ti-son (a cake using maize flour), not forgetting the traditional tomato chutney and curry cooked on an open fire!
3rd part: Creole lunch
Aperitif consisting of spicy sweetmeats, samosas and fresh fruit juice.
Two dishes: one meat and one fish, served with rice.
Excursion guaranteed with 1 person min. All equipment is provided.
Free for children under 18 accompanied by their parents (max. 2 children).
