Rue de Paris (La)

Guided tour at Saint-denis

  • This tour allows visitors to explore the heart of the capital of Reunion island. From the Jardin de l’'État (garden) to the old Town Hall, Creole villas line a thoroughfare with an evocative name: the Rue de Paris.

Leading figures have taken their first steps in this famous wealthy street: Léon Dierx, proclaimed Prince of the Poets and Raymond Barre, former Prime Minister of the French Republic. On this prestigious street of the regional capital Saint-Denis, certain monuments have been erected while others have been preserved:
    - the Old Town Hall.
    - Villa Déramond-Barre
    - Villa du Département
    - l’Arthotèque
    - Léon Dierx Museum
    - l’Evêché
    - Jardin de l'Etat
Guided tours scheduled every Wednesday with local guide and for at least 4 persons. Please call Dominick for other days.
