Created in 1986, the cottage industry Escale Bleue specialises in the vanilla production and its process. Located in Le Tremblet, between Saint-Philippe and Sainte-Rose, it’s the first vanilla workshop in the Sud Sauvage( Wild South) and the most experienced on the island too.

Guided tours are offered to discover both the secrets of the traditional vanilla and the Vanille Bleue (Blue Vanilla).
This one can be entirely eaten including even its pod! This exceptional Vanilla has been awarded by a team of head chefs in Brussels the Living Heritage Company for its skill and excellence.
In the shop, vanilla can be found in pods, powder, extract or in tea, spa products…
Opening hours for the shop and the guided visits: Monday to Saturday, from 9.30a.m to 5.30p.m
