  • Hoareau Guibert produces turmeric and arrowroot in La Plaine des Grègues above Saint-Joseph. There are tasting sessions for turmeric, ginger and geranium syrups and "rouroute" sweets.

  • The boutique sells turmeric powder, an indispensable condiment in typical Réunion island cuisine, and arrowroot, used as a thickener, in pastries and as an intestinal regulator.
    Turmeric also boasts anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties making it suitable for medicinal use. In season from July to December, you can see a processing demonstration of the farm produce.
