Wearing a lifejacket, a wetsuit and a helmet, you will be guided in complete safety to explore an extraordinary natural site. This activity is somewhere between canyoning and white-water swimming and combines walking in the river bed, slides and swimming in natural pools with waterfall jumping. A challenging course, supervised by state-qualified white-water instructors, water hiking takes place in a unique setting on Reunion Island all year long. Aquatic hiking in Rivière des Roches is a unique thrilling experience which will leave you with unforgettable memories. Trip lasts 2-2.5 hours with total immersion in Rivière des Roches. Slots available on the last Sunday of each month only, with your own bivouac the day before or not. Minimum number of people: 4

Discover the lagoons of Reunion Island, its ecosystem, its corals and its fish. Despite the coral reef being relatively small, Reunion Island boasts biodiversity on a par with other nearby islands. The Mascareignes Archipelago is listed among the top ten hot spots worldwide in terms of biodiversity. The coral reefs on Reunion Island, both the flats and the barriers, are mainly dominated by fast growing branching coral species from the genus Acropora (Acroporidae family), which can shelter and feed a huge selection of tropical species. Recent scientific research on Reunion Island reported more than 190 species of corals, more than 1,300 species of molluscs, more than 500 species of crustaceans, more than 130 species of echinoderms and more than 1,000 species of fish.
