Artothèque

Museum in Saint-Denis
  • Created in 1991 at the initiative of La Réunion General Council, the Artothèque plays a major part in the dissemination of contemporary art through exhibitions and loans of works.

  • Its collection of over 1500 works takes full account of contemporary creation on La Réunion as well as the national and international scene. A facility with a convivial atmosphere and open to all, this fine mid-19th-century wooden Creole villa is now devoted to living art, and is a centre for information, instruction, and encounters and exchanges between artists and their publics.
