  • Located on the edge of the forest, in the village of Bras Sec in the Cirque of Cilaos, Piton Bétoum Botanical Garden (Jardin Botanique du Piton Bétoume) makes a truly magnificent visit, where endemic and exotic indigenous plants provide a haven of peace to birds like the Terpsiphone bourbonnensis (Oiseau La Vierge) and the Saxicola tectes (Tec-tec).

  • At the foot of Piton Bétoum, sample a range of local cakes and delicious jams prepared by Reine-Claude. Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30 a.m to 5.00 p.m, upon reservation.
