The Tourist Information office of the east is located in La Maison du Parc National, in La Plaine des Palmistes.
The tourist information office ensures hygiene and safety rules are respected when welcoming the public. -
The green plateau of Plaine des Palmistes lies just 20 minutes from the coast, an area of waterfalls, lakes, pastureland and pitons, where endemic plant species flourish in abundance. In season, it is also the capital of that mildly acid little red fruit, the guava. Open from Monday to wednesday and from friday to saturday from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m and from 1.30 p.m to 5.00 p.m. Closed on Thursdays.
