  • Vanilla - flower of Saint-André's cultural life, a magic orchid leading you down the path to flavour.

  • Mr Roulof, owner of the Plantation de la Vanille in Saint-André, has been planting and harvesting vanilla since he was old enough to work. During guided visits to his farm, he will be pleased to share his experience, and the tradition of growing the vanilla orchid. Every stage in its cultivation is presented, from planting to marketing, via harvesting and casing of pods in the workshop. Guided visits every day except on Sunday and on public holiday.
