Zarlor guided walking tour - Herbal tea and medicinal plants “Zherbaz péi”

With the “l'éclaireur de l'Ouest” guide and William, the herbal tea specialist from the “Tisanes Indigènes” association, you’ll discover medicinal plants and herbal tea on this guided walking tour to the magnificent Cap Noir viewpoint overlooking the Cirque of Mafate.

You'll begin the day with a herbal tea tasting. This part of the day also includes a herbarium group game, to learn the basics of botany so that by the end of the day, you'll be able to identify some of the unique plants found on Reunion Island.

Then on to the Cap Noir viewpoint.
This walk is accessible to all, and leads to some breath-taking views of Mafate, with a discovery of the medicinal plants dotted along the way. William will explain the benefits of each plant for you. Which ones are used for treatment, which ones are edible?
Many of them can be eaten, but you'll need to know how to recognise them and make sure they aren’t dangerous.

You can expect an experience worthy of Robinson Crusoe, deep in the forest.

Then you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch in a restaurant in Dos d’Ane, to be able to talk about everything you learnt in the morning.
