Label “Gîtes de France“is the largest European guesthouse network. A key player in green tourism in France, it is also the first hitorical label to unite more than 42000 owners. For over 50 years, “Gîtes de France” benefits from an essential know-how and experience.
Rural gîte :
A house or independent accommodation in a quiet environment, designed to accommodate families during holidays or weekends. These families must find on site all the equipment needed for their stay (a separate entrance, a kitchen, a living/dining room, one or more bedrooms, a bathroom, quality furniture and equipment). The gîtes are classified by “épis” (from 2 to 5 “épis”).
Bed and breakfast :
A room set up in the house of the owner or in an adjacent building, with insurance per night. It includes both overnight accommodation and breakfast in the dining room of the owners. The maximum number of rooms is 5 for a maximum capacity of 15 people. Each room is classified by “épis” (from 2 to 5 “épis”).
Gite de belouveGroup gîte :
A large gîte (12 to 50 people), located on a hiking trail, which has the privilege of welcoming hikers for overnight stays.

They contain a maximum of 6 sites for 20 people and are equipped with toilet blocks. Each site must have a minimum area of 3000 ft² and must be located within a maximum distance of 300 feet.
