By car, by bus or by bicycle, there are so many ways to explore Reunion Island:
- International or local Car-hire companies offer reliable cars and fair and trustworthy rental contracts (you can find them when you arrive, just outside the terminal building). Don’t hesitate to reserve your hire car before coming to the island.
- Shuttle services, buses and taxis are available across the island.
- If some routes to reach the hiking trails are difficult to access, you can hire a different means of transport other than a car ( 4×4, motorbike, bicycle, motorhome).
- The price of petrol on the island is approximately the same as the price in mainland France.
- At the bus stations, there are “Taxis à la place” which will take you to various villages, once there are enough people to fill them.
- Infrastructure complies with European standards.
