Teddy Avril, a native islander, is passionate about volcanology! He offers Caving Explorations in the Lava Tunnels of the Piton de la Fournaise volcano! For all outings, groups are made up of no more than six people, to ensure a more friendly, relaxed atmosphere! (Except on request for groups arriving together).
Two activities are offered on a regular basis:
* The 'Discovery' exploration of the Lava Tunnel created by the 2004 flow (3.5-hour activity/family-friendly trail accessible from 6 and up)
* The 'Sports' exploration of the Lava Tunnel created by the 2004 flow (4.5-hour activity/rout accessible from 10 and up)
