Retention period: Reunion Island Tourism Board keeps the data as long as the individual concerned does not unsubscribe (via the unsubscribe link within the newsletters). However, in the event that an individual has not opened any newsletters for over a year, Reunion Island Tourism Board may decide to remove the individual from the circulation list.

Establishment records contact form

Data collected: surname*, first name*, message*, title*, email*, period of stay required, telephone, IP address automatically, name of the establishment concerned.
The fields with an asterisk (*) are compulsory

This information is sent to the solicited service provider in order to process your request. For example, an availability request over a given period.

Retention period in the CMS: 18 months

Review submission form on an establishment

Data collected: surname*, period of stay*, review*, evaluation* (from 1 to 5 in terms of satisfaction), title*, your travel situation* (alone, as a couple, as a family, with friends, for business), the date, the IP address, the company concerned by the review.
The fields with an asterisk (*) are compulsory

This information is sent to the service provider concerned by the review who can therefore exercise a right of response. It is also included on the website service provider’s record after verification by a moderator that the information does not contain abusive or defamatory language.
N.B. depending on the information given you may or may not be anonymous. The email address is not displayed on the review submitted.

Retention period : Unlimited. Data anonymisation scheduled after 5 years.

Account creation form

Data collected: surname*, first name*, email*, IP address automatically.
You can also use your Facebook, Google+ or Twitter account to create your account. As such, the same data will be collected from the social network selected (surname, first name, email).

Booking engine

Data collected: surname* first name*, email*, postal address*, telephone*, gender*,  bank details*, Air Austral loyalty programme number, IP address

This data is collected in the context of a booking and allows for the booking files to be created and for you to be contacted again in the context of your request. Some data is sent to the professional in order to provide the service requested.
Your history and consumption preferences can be saved when you purchase products and/or tourist services via the Reunion Island Tourism Board booking platform. This data is stored to help us improve our commercial relations with you and to offer you content that matches your holiday preferences and destination knowledge.
The Air Austral loyalty programme number lets you accumulate points.

Online payment

When certain information is compulsory to access specific features of the website, this compulsory nature is indicated during data entry. In the event that you refuse to provide compulsory information, you may not have access to certain services, features or sections of the website.

The Reunion Island Tourism Board does not exist to make any financial profit from the data collected.  Access to your personal data is strictly limited to the uses intended and proposed by Reunion Island Tourism Board. However, the data collected may potentially be sent to sub-contractors contractually responsible for the execution of tasks required for the proper working of the website and its services, as well as the proper management of our relationship with you. It is stipulated that, in the context of executing their services, sub-contractors only have limited access to your data and have a contractual obligation to use it in accordance with the provisions of the applicable legislation in terms of personal data protection.
Your information can be viewed, if required, so we can adhere to our legal obligations; for example, to respond to a court decision or another procedural act taken by the competent authorities.
