Cabosses Ailées (Les)

Guided tour in Saint-Pierre

  • The Bean to Bar Factory, located in the very heart of Grand Bois, produces exceptional chocolate bars sold under the ‘Les Cabosses Ailées’ brand name and made from beans from the wonderful country of Madagascar. In addition to this, The Bean to Bar Factory has been leading a project since December 2020 to develop the local industry by collecting cocoa pods from La Réunion for processing into 100% local chocolate bars. These bars, made from wild cocoa beans and cane sugar from La Réunion, will be available in December 2021.

  • The production facility where the ‘Les Cabosses Ailées’ chocolate bars are made is open Monday to Wednesday 8.00 am to midday.
    The whole process from cocoa bean to chocolate bar can be seen during visits to the site. There is the chance to sample the chocolate bars and learn about their characteristics
    in terms of flavour.
    Guided tours are available in French, English and Creole.
    It is recommended to wear trainers when visiting.
