Far Far de Bézaves

Plantation, Guided tour, Agricultural heritage in Saint-Joseph
  • On Reunion Island, farms are often based on one single activity. At Far Far de Bezaves, a farm in the Highlands of Saint-Joseph, things are quite different!
Didier will guide visitors into his universe and tell them all about his farm where he grows different local agricultural products that make Creole dishes so tasty.

  • From planting to the harvest, and processing crops into food ready to be consumed, all the different stages will be covered. Sugar cane, pineapple, bourbon pointu, various leafy greens, citrus fruit, turmeric or arrowroot - visitors will find themselves immersed in the rural life of Reunion.

From planting to the harvest, and processing crops into food ready to be consumed, all the different stages will be covered. Sugar cane, pineapple, bourbon pointu, various leafy greens, citrus fruit, turmeric or arrowroot - visitors will find themselves immersed in the rural life of Reunion.
But Didier is not just a passionate farmer who wants to showcase the local agricultural heritage; he is someone who doesn’t want to see part of the island’s agricultural heritage die out: namely, vetiver. Every Monday and Wednesday, he offers guided tours of his farm oriented more toward the universe of this grass, incorporating it in a participatory workshop. From the root to the leaves, vetiver will reveal all its secrets!
A "modern day storyteller", Didier invites travellers to discover or rediscover the wealth and diversity of the Wild South and the splendour of his land. A wealth of interesting facts to expand your knowledge.
