Recumbent bikes on Reunion Island

News sensations

Freewheeling !

During your next holiday in Reunion, try riding a recumbent bike. After cycling upright in the saddle, this amusing derivative is a fun and friendly alternative in which you adopt a semi-reclining position. Here’s an original way to make the most of the island’s spectacular scenery while having fun.

4 things to know before your trip

First of all, don’t forget to book ahead for your unusual outing

You must be at least 1.1 metres tall to use a recumbent bike. You must specify your height and weight when you book

For small children, a trailer can be attached to the back of an adult recumbent bike.

Trails of varying levels can be found in different parts of the island: discovery trail (all levels), sensations trail (for the sporty), adventure trail (not for novices) and even a night trail at the Plaine des Sables.
