Musée Dan' Tan Lontan

Museum at Saint-André

Dan’Tan Lontan Museum in Saint-André is nothing less than an “Ali Baba’s cave”, conserving a collection of objects from bygone days (“tan lontan” in Creole). A collector to the core, the owner exhibits a wealth of treasures amassed over a lifetime: radios of the day, smoothing irons, artefacts over two hundred years old, all bearing witness to the ways everyday life has changed over the centuries in La Réunion and elsewhere.
